My Poor Body!

Last Friday I was in an auto accident – rear end collision and totally not expected – I was just sitting at a red light. The thing is – my car is repairable, but my body – oh the aches and pains. My body just doesn’t respond to these “accidents” as well as it used to. I have missed school, work, and recreation. Part of me is feeling sorry for myself – the other part says, OK, maybe I need some down time. I also realize that it could have been a whole lot worse. There could have been a car in front of me that I would have slammed in to. All in all, I think I will just take this as a clue to slow down.
Where might you need to slow down?

Summer

I love summer. The days are longer, the birds seem to sing sweeter, sun tea with clicking ice cubes, kids laughter, warm sun. Why is it that summer months seem to go so much faster than other months? Anyone have an answer for that one – please reply.

Well, summer seemed to appear in the NW, but is now clouded over. That is the NW for you.

It is kind of like my livit – it seemed a good idea at the time – but it kind of died, too. The diet (livit) just wasn’t the right one for me – I need something more than just drinking my food. So, now I am on the search for a new one. Any ideas? I am all ears. I still want to lose 30 more pounds.

Not Easy!

OK, this “livit” thing is not easy. However, I have had success. My first week I lost 4.5 pounds, but even better is I lost nearly 2 (what are they called?) points? of body fat. Yeah me! Weigh in is every Wednesday – so I will keep you posted.

I have never liked the word DieIt – clearly to diet has the concept of something is going to die – and usually it is good food. And besides I have been on a few DieIts – some I created – some others created. So this time I am going on a LiveIt. Doesn’t that sound better? Tomorrow I start Take Shape For Life. My goal is to lose 40 pounds by September. I will keep my friends posted on how it does. If it works – then I want to become a coach for Take Shape for Life. Wish me luck!
